The account

An eCommerce course provider publishing regularly on YouTube, with an audience that watched a great deal and bought very little.

The diagnosis

Views are the easiest number in marketing to grow and the easiest to mistake for progress.

The channel had them. What it did not have was a route from a view to an enrollment — no sequencing, no remarketing, no landing pages built for the person who had just watched. The paid and organic sides were run as separate projects, so nothing one learned made the other cheaper.

Traffic isn’t the problem. The machine catching it is.

The treatment

The account was rebuilt as a three-tier funnel — awareness, consideration, conversion — with sequential video ads and remarketing audiences, instead of one campaign asked to do all three jobs at once.

Hooks, titles and CTAs were rewritten, which lifted retention and engagement by over 40% before any budget changed.

In-market, affinity and custom intent audiences put the videos in front of people already looking to learn. Landing pages were aligned to the ads, which lifted Quality Score and pulled CPC down.

GA4 and Tag Manager went in so paid and organic could finally be judged against each other on the same numbers.

The videos didn’t change. What happened after the view did.

The results

  • 2.5× growth in course sales in three months
  • ROAS up 78%
  • 47% higher engagement on YouTube
  • 65% increase in organic traffic

Paid fed organic and organic fed paid. That is the only reason both moved.
